Pendennis Welcomes You

Let's build together.

Our Mission

The Mission of Pendennis is to support people with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities who seek education, work and housing. We believe that this can best be achieved through an approach that is based on individual self–advocacy, self-determination, and the principle that “money follows the person”. Pendennis will work with people with developmental disabilities and their families to consult, advise and execute strategies to achieve the person’s goals.

Peter Cole

Peter Cole is the father of a fourteen year old son with autism; as a former real estate broker and
the son of an architect, Peter has a love of all things domestic and understands the importance of
quality housing to a successful life. To that end, over the past year and a half he has become an
active advocate with a focus on housing for people in the developmentally disabled community.
As part of that effort, Peter developed a theoretical housing model with UK architect Simon
Humphries whose practice specializes in architecture and autism. Peter has served on the New
York State Developmental Disabilities Council for the past six years and plans to help shape a
future where his son can flourish in and contribute to the community along with his typical peers.
For the past 30 years Peter has made his living as a recording artist and on stage as both a
musician and an audio engineer.
